Rotary Cleans Up

Date Added: 03 November 2009
On a sunny day at Alresford Show, many celebrities offered their services in the stocks to raise cash for charities. Although Keith Halls lead the way, he was rapidly followed by the then editor of the Hampshire Chronicle , Alan Cleaver, our Rector Phil Collins and David Bowden from Sky News. Favourite targets were Mark Oaten MP and George Hollinbery, whose broken arms healed quite quickly.
Over £1000 was raised during the day, reaching a peak donation level when Sarah from The Swan took a turn to get soaked.
Rotary raises cash for charity in a number of ways – some of them much more fun than others..
